is there any market for baseball cards anymore?
I have several sets and single cards from the 80s. topps, fleer and donruss. and the 1989 upper deck set with griffy, jr. rookie card. is there anything of any value i should be looking for in my collection?
It’s a double prong attack.
Cards from the late 80’s and 90’s were overproduced, so they don’t have value.
Cards now have the combination of being overproduced and artificially inflated by the manufacturer (the fact that some packs of cards are $5 at RETAIL is ridiculous)
Also, the fascination with inserts, limited cards, jerseys, puts all the intrinsic value on those and away from the cards themselves.
If you are looking at baseball cards as something that will return more than you put into it, buy stocks in stead. If you are looking at them for a collection, then you will be ok.
